Melt-blown filter elements are the core filtration consumables in water treatment, fluid purification, industrial filtration and other scenarios. The filtration accuracy is the core indicator for evaluating the filtering performance of polypropylene melt blown filter elements, directly determining the impurity interception effect and the applicability range of the working conditions.
In the industry, micron (μm) is used as the precision measurement standard. The conventional filtration accuracy range of spun depth filter elements is 0.5 μm to 150 μm. The mainstream standard specifications on the market are complete, including 1 μm, 3 μm, 5 μm, 10 μm, 20 μm, 30 μm, 60 μm, etc. At the same time, we can provide non-standard customized accuracy according to special industrial production, water treatment and other requirements, to meet diversified filtering requirements for pp melt blown filter elements.
The stable filtering performance is attributed to the advanced melt-blown process and special structure. The pp spun filter element uses polypropylene raw materials, which are formed through high-temperature melting and high-pressure ultra-fine spraying in one step, creating a gradient three-dimensional pore structure with dense inner and loose outer. The fibers are thin and uniform, with a diameter of only 1 to 5 μm, and the pore pattern is arranged regularly. It can not only efficiently intercept suspended impurities and particles, but also balance the pollutant-capturing capacity and water flow rate, reducing fluid resistance. The measured data shows that the overall filtration efficiency of the melt-blown filter element can reach over 99%. Among them, the 1 μm high-precision polypropylene melt blown filter element has a retention rate for fine particles far exceeding the standard value, and the deep filtration effect is outstanding.

The selection of filtration accuracy does not need to blindly pursue high precision. It should be reasonably matched according to the actual working conditions. For pre-filtration of domestic water, a 5 μm spun depth filter element is commonly used to efficiently remove large particles such as sand, rust, and colloids; for the RO membrane pre-filtration of pure water equipment, the preferred high-precision model is 1 to 5 μm pp melt blown filter element, to prevent small particles from wearing out the membrane components; in industrial circulating water and wastewater coarse filtration scenarios, the suitable medium-low precision specifications of 20 to 50 μm pp spun filter elements are selected. Scientifically selecting the filtration accuracy can not only stabilize the filtering quality, but also reduce blockage, extend the service life of the melt-blown filter element, and effectively control the later operation and maintenance costs.
