The replacement cycle and judgment method for pleated membrane filter element

There is no fixed standard for the replacement cycle of polypropylene pleated filter element. The core factors depend on the filtration conditions, the cleanliness of the medium, and the material of the filter element. Reasonable judgment of the replacement time can ensure the filtration effect and avoid resource waste. The regular replacement cycle of pp pleated filter element is usually 1-6 months. For clean media (such as pure water), it can be extended to 3-6 months. For media with more impurities and strong corrosiveness, the replacement period should be shortened to 1-2 months.
To determine whether a folding filter element needs to be replaced, the following four practical methods can be used. First, observe the pressure difference. This is the most direct judgment basis. The initial pressure difference of a new filter element is approximately 0.02-0.05 Mpa. When the pressure difference rises to 0.1-0.15 Mpa, it indicates that the filter element has become clogged and needs to be replaced immediately. Second, check the filtration effect. If the filtered medium is turbid, the purity is not up to standard, or there is an odor or impurities remaining, even if the pressure difference is not exceeded, the filter element should be replaced.

Third, check the usage time. Combine the working conditions to set a benchmark period. After exceeding the period, even if the filtration effect is normal, it is recommended to replace the filter element to avoid filter element aging and damage causing medium contamination. Fourth, observe the appearance of the Pp filter Element. After disassembly, if blackening, damage, swelling, or obvious impurities are found on the filter element surface, it is necessary to replace it in time.
In addition, corrosive media will accelerate the aging of the filter element, and the replacement period should be shortened; in high-temperature and high-pressure working conditions, the service life of the filter element will be reduced. Regular inspection and maintenance, combined with pressure difference, filtration effect, and usage time to make a comprehensive judgment of the filter element, can ensure the stable operation of the polypropylene pleated filter element and the safety and reliability of the filtration system.
